The Frisco as Described by Vernon Castle; “Teaching Dancing at $1 a Minute.”

Below is an article about Vernon and Irene Castle from the San Francisco Call on March 16, 1913.  The article claimed that while Mr. Castle had been around for six or seven years in a theatrical production, it was the Turkey Trot that launched him to fame.  The article concluded by noting that Mr. Castle had since abandoned the Turkey Trot for the One Step.
